Kashif, a student who witnessed the whole incident told The Spokesman, "The Students including some girls were going home after college when two guys on motorbikes without number plates teased and misbehaved with them.
A few days later, the same guys again appeared inside the college area looking for those girls. They were confronted by the students and an exchange of harsh words occurred after which they left only to come back later in a bigger group and thrash the students with steel rods and sticks.
Dr. Mohammad Hussain, the principal of the college, strongly condemned the act of violence on his students but some students blamed him for hushing the entire episode rather than bringing the culprits to book.
