Husband flees after killing wife

ISLAMABAD: A man on Thursday slaughtered his wife allegedly after a domestic dispute and fled, police said. Rabnawaz killed Shazia Begum in their Sector G-7 residence, the police added.
The body of the decedent was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences for autopsy. Aabpara SHO Haq Nawaz Ranjha said that the incident took place between 1pm and 5pm. He said the deceased woman’s son informed them about the incident.
“Deceased Shazia Begum had consummated her second marriage with the accused. Her son who informed the incident to the police is from her first marriage,” said Ranjha.
The boy, according to the police, left the house at 1pm and found her mother to have been slaughtered when he returned at 5pm. His stepfather, according to him, was not present in the house, which strengthened his doubt that his stepfather had killed his mother.
